Bishops of Southern Africa, meeting in a plenary assembly since last Saturday at Talatona Conventions Centre, in Luanda, debated Monday issues related with good governance within and out of the church.
Participants will also analyse matters relating to the level of implementation of some conclusions from previous conferences.
Good governance, through cooperation between the Church and the State, was considered by Cardinal Ivan Dias, prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples, as an efficient method to combat poverty in the continent's Southern region.
Scheduled to end on Wednesday, the meeting gathers about 80 bishops of Angola, Mozambique, South Africa, Namibia, Lesotho, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
