Luanda — A multisectoral delegation led by the Finance deputy minister, Job Graça, left the country this Wednesday for Maputo, Mozambique, to attend from July 28 to 29 the meeting of the Finance Ministers Committee of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
Speaking to the press at "4 de Fevereiro" International Airport, Job Graça said that participants to the meeting will discuss matters relating to the creation of SADC's Free Trade Zone and the norm of procedures aimed at setting up a Customs Union in the region.
Countries of the community have been implementing since 2000 a programme aimed at creating a Free Trade Zone in 2008, which will give consumers the possibility of having competitive goods in terms of quality.
Matters related with industrial policies and its legislation in SADC is also part of the meeting's agenda.
According to the deputy minister, the conference will be divided into two sessions, with the first to be attended by SADC's Finance and Investments ministers, whilst the second dubbed "work on regional integration" will be attended by ministers of Finance, Trade, Planning and Industry of the referred institution.
