Eritrea: Summer Work Program Participants Carry Out Vital Activities

Senafe — The participants of Summer Work Program (SWP) in Senafe sub-zone are carrying out effective soil and water conservation activities.

So far, they have planted over 10,000 seedlings and constructed 42 meters of catchments, in addition to putting in place over 6,000 cubic meters of terraces.

The nation-wide afforestation activity is being carried out in ten administrative areas of the sub-zone and as such 60,000 seedlings have been planted.

Similarly, participants in the Central region are carrying out a number of activities, including soil and water conservation and clean-up campaign in hospitals and schools, as well as helping in arranging documents.
