Eritrea: National Athletics And Cycling Teams Arrive Home

Asmara — The National Athletics and Cycling Teams arrived home last night following participation in the 9th All Africa Games that was Algeria from July 11 to23.

The national teams won 3 gold, 1 silver, 2 bronze medals and placed Eritrea on the 15th rank out of the 40 nations that won medals.

The Sports Commissioner, Maj. General Romodan Osman Awleyai, other senior officials of the Commission and heads of national federations, as well as sports enthusiasts accorded the teams warm welcome on arrival.

Reports indicated that a formal reception has been arranged for this evening at the Sports Commission hall.
