In line with the Peace Agreement reached on 14 October 2006 between the Sudanese Government of National Unity and the East Sudan Front under the care of the Eritrean government, the Leadership of East Sudan Front would arrive in Khartoum shortly, according to the Front during its current meeting here in Asmara.

In the meeting, the Leadership and cadres of the Front are holding deliberations regarding the implementation of the Peace Agreement, future programs and policies, the operational methods of the Front and its relations with Sudanese political forces.

Addressing the opening session yesterday, Mr. Yemane Gebreab, Head of Political Affairs at the PFDJ, gave in-depth briefings regarding the developments and measures taken after the signing of the Agreement.

Similarly, Mr. Abdalla Jabir, Head of Organizational Affairs at the PFDJ, presented a report on the significance of the meeting.
