Cameroon: Councils - Election of Mayors, Deputies Tomorrow

There is great anxiety mounting in the different council areas as to who becomes the mayor and deputy mayors for the next five years. This is because the law provides for the election of mayors and deputy mayors during the first council session held on the second Tuesday after polling day.

Following the law, tomorrow Tuesday, 31 July is the second, following the twin council and legislative elections of 22 July in Cameroon.
