A Matsiloje man who ripped off the penis foreskin of a man he caught having sex with his wife was granted bail by a Francistown Magistrate's court.
35-year-old Baena Ntshabeng was granted bail after the prosecution revealed that his victim was recovering from injuries sustained during the attack a month ago.
Inspector Mazibani told the court that Sehularo Rakgwasi, who was admitted at Nyangabwe hospital after the attack. was recently released and was recovering at his Matsiloje home.
Before granting Baena bail the magistrate warned the man not to temper with police investigation and also ordered him to sign for a P1000 self-recognisance bond.
Following his release, the father of two said the whole thing ruined his image before the eyes of the public.
"The incident was a very big embarrassment to me. Just imagine finding someone having sex with your wife. Life is not fair and truly speaking I have serious bad luck. Seeing your wife having sex with some man is not a good experience, especial when you are later thrown behind bars," said Ntshabeng.
The frustrated man said what hurts the most was the fact that his victim was a friend who they used to drink beer together.
The accused also said the charges levelled against him were ridiculous as he claimed that his victim's manhood had a scar and was already loose. He also dismissed allegations that he used a knife to circumcise his rival.
"I found them sleeping on the floor in the kitchen after my woman told me that she was retiring to sleep leaving me at a nearby Shebeen in the village," said Ntshabeng.
Ntshabeng, a labourer, said after he instinctively wedged his hand between the lovebirds who did not see him coming, he got hold of his rival's penis.
"I then pulled hard and since the penis had a healed scar caused by a fire burn, the foreskin just peeled off," he said adding that he did not mean to injure the guy.
He, however, revealed that it was going to be difficult for him to reunite with the woman after such a tragic incident, especially since his wife never visited him in prison.
