31 July 2007

Ondjiva — The conclusion of the Xangongo municipal palace (Ondjiva district), training of staffs in law and civil registration, as well as expanding justice services in the south Cunene province, are among the priorities of the sector for the 2008/2009 period.

According to the provincial justice director in Cunene, Adriano Gabriel Ndemupomito said that with this process, the sector creates grounds for a justice administration with proper conditions of work, to better serve the population.

For the official, training of staffs aims at strengthening the sector, renovation and modernisation of personnel as a means to reinforce intellectual and technical professional capacity, both of services in general as in the legal activity in particular.

The spread of legal services in the province, he stressed, also aims at reducing the problems faced by districts and communes in the civil registration dominion, registry, civil identification, among other services.

He added that for the improvement of the civil identification activity, the sector counts as from June with an on-line system to computerise and issue identity cards, which speeds up the emission of this document.
