Ghana: Cement Bribery Allegation

The Public Relations Officer of the Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), Mr. Samuel Bosompem, has said that the Commission is studying the cement bribery allegation made by one Tor Egil Kjelsaas of Norway against Mr. Rawlings, his wife Konadu and Mr. P.V Obeng a one time "Prime Minister" under the PNDC. Speaking to the ADM in an interview in his office yesterday, Mr. Samuel Bosompem said if the Commission finds any merit during the study, they would investigate it "seriously".

He said, "We have seen it in the newspapers, but we have to study it and see if it has merit before we will investigate."
