An African Regional Conference on Freedom of Information (FOI) opened on Monday in Ghana's capital city of Accra.
The two-day conference, attended by delegates from all over Africa, was to among other things hear implementation experiences from the few African countries that are presently implementing FOI laws, review a proposed model FOI law for African countries and adopt a regional-based FOI advocacy strategy.
