Eritrea: Chairmen of National Democratic Alliance And East Sudan Front Commend Country's Role And Contribution in Comprehensive Sudanese Peace Process

Asmara — The Chairman of the National Democratic Alliance of Sudan (NDA) and the Democratic Union Party, Maulana Mohammed Osman Al- Mirghani, and the Chairman of the East Sudan Front, Fighter Mussa Mohammed Ahmed, commended Eritrea's role and contribution in comprehensive Sudanese peace process.

Both chairmen expressed their appreciation during the farewell reception Maulana Mohammed Osman Al- Mirghani hosted at Hotel Intercontinental Asmara to the Leadership of East Sudan Front leaving for home.

In the respective speeches they made at the reception which was attended by Ministers, PFDJ heads, leaders and cadres of the East Sudan Front and Darfur organizations, as well as diplomats accredited here, both Maulana Mohammed Osman Al- Mirghani and Fighter Mussa Mohammed Ahmed praised the contribution of the people and Government of Eritrea under the leadership of H.E. President Isaias Afwerki to ensure peace and stability in Sudan.

Also citing the same contribution as regards the Naivasha Peace Agreement, the East Sudan Peace Agreement, and the Cairo Peace Agreement, they commended the constructive role of the people and Government of Eritrea to ensure the success of the peace process in Darfur.

Maulana Mohammed Osman Al- Mirghani and Fighter Mussa Mohammed Ahmed further stated that such support is a manifestation of the brotherhood and strong relations that exist between the two countries and peoples. They went on to state that they would work for the continuity and reinforcement of these relations.
