Eritrea: Development Programs Implemented in Elabered Sub-Zone

Elabered — Different development programs have been implemented by the people and Government in Elabered sub-zone in the past 6 months.

According to the Administrator of the sub-zone, Mr. Hamid Hasebela, 10 wells were dug in Debresina, Jemberek, Yegar, Gush, Hamrehamarb, Deki-Andu, Dembehabtetsion, Eden and Azehfa villages, while 4 embankments were constructed in different areas of the sub-zone.

Moreover, 80km.-long road running from Edirba, along Hadish-Adi, Deki-Andu, Dembe-Habtetsion, Ira-Tahtai and She'ib-Debresina has been and is being cleared. The task was undertaken with the coordinated efforts of the people, the Anseba regional administration and partners.

Mr. Hamid further indicated that electricity line is being distribiuted from Elabered to She'ib and Debresina, as well as Jertem-Gush-Hadish Adi.

Elabered sub-zone with a population of over 37,000 comprises 13 administrative areas.
