Asmara — Eritreans residing inside the country and abroad have donated over 1.3 million Nakfa to augment the Martyrs' Trust Fund and support families of fallen heroes.
According to the branch office of the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare in the Southern region, Eritreans residing in different parts of the world donated 900,000 to 168 martyrs' families living in the sub-zones of Adi-Keyih and Senafe.
Similarly, Eritreans living in Germany, Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi contributed more than 400,000 to 90 families of fallen heroes in Adi-Quala, while citizens residing in Zurich, Switzerland, and its environs donated 1,140 Francs that was collected from candle sale on Martyrs' Day towards augmenting the Martyrs' Trust Fund.
Moreover, Eritreans living in Kuwait donated USD 1,000 and the St. Michael Association in that country contributed 70 Kuwaiti Dinars for the same purpose.
Meanwhile, Mr. Ephrem and Ms. Natsenet Rezene donated 3,000 Nakfa that was meant for their wedding in support of families of fallen heroes.
