Emni-Haili — The construction of a micro-dam in Adi-Gebru, Emni-Haili sub-zone, at a cost of 2 million Nakfa has been finalized.
It has a capacity of holding 100,000 cubic meters of water and is expected to facilitate irrigation farming on 10 hectares. Moreover, the villages of Argezana, Adi-Gebru, Adi-Abraham, Adi-Merkejan would become beneficiaries, in addition to 2,700 livestock.
Previously, the local inhabitants used to travel about 8 km. to fetch water, reports added. Adi-Gebru is located some 10 km. west of the semi-urban Emni-Haili locality.
