One person was killed in a grenade blast in Mutimbuzi commune of Bujumbura province. He was killed by people in military uniforms in an attack carried out in the night of Monday, 6th August 2007.

The victim is the child of Louis Kamwenubusa, an inhabitant of Maramvya. This is the third time that this person is attacked. The grenade also wounded his wife. This gang attacked three households looting their belongings.

Insecurity is noticed in various parts of Bujumbura Rural after the combatants of the remaining rebel movement FNL-PALIPEHUTU decided to return to the bush after they noticed that the current government of Bujumbura was not eager to implement agreement reached in the talks of Dar-Es-Salaam early this year.

Towards the end of last week, one person was killed by people allegedly supposed to be members of PALIPEHUTU- FNL in Ruziba located in the South of the capital city, Bujumbura.
