Kampala — WOMEN parliamentarians have vowed to unseat men in the next elections, writes Joyce Namutebi.
The women, under their umbrella organisation, the Uganda Parliamentary Women Association, said they would concentrate on capacity building for women at all levels.
The secretary, Florence Kabahweza, said this would build confidence among the women and enable them challenge the men. "We want to have 60% women representation in the next Parliament."
There are 100 women MPs (30.1%) out of over 300 parliamentarians.
