Liberia: Swapo Wins AMEU Election, But Rival Party Calls for Cancellation of Results

A campus-based student political party, the Progressive Students Alliance Leading Movement (PSALM) at the African Methodist Episcopal University (AMEU) has called for the immediate cancellation of the results of the just-ended student government elections; but the call has been termed as baseless and unfounded by the newly-elected president of the student council government, Jay G. Brown.

According to a release issued by PSALM, under the signatures of Mr. Maxwell Grisby and Mr. Vallai M. Dorley, secretary and chairman of the party respectively, the elections were marred by several fundamental flaws and therefore the results must be nullified by the elections commission.
