Zimbabwe: Zhakata, Tuku to Share Stage

Harare — Leonard Karikoga Zhakata -- who rose to stardom in the 1990s with several hits including "Mugove" -- will share the stage for the first time with superstar Oliver Mtukudzi and Tongai Moyo this weekend.

Their previous meeting was foiled by power cuts and torrential rainfall in March this year.

The trio share the stage tonight at Plaka Tavern in Ruwa and proceed to Bindura for another show tomorrow.

Zhakata ends his holiday romance with a performance at Club Lashers in Budiriro on Sunday where he shares the stage with Allan Chimbetu.

Allan teams up with Cephas Mashakada for a show at Chipaz Night Club in Chitungwiza tomorrow night before going to Shamva for another show at Wadzanai Bar on Monday.

BV-Labien Musica will be thrilling revellers at the Coach House Inn in Bindura tonight before taking a day off tomorrow to return on Sunday for a show at Club M5 - their traditional venue in Westlea - where they share the stage with Girls of Peace dance group.

Meanwhile, Club M5 Westlea, tonight hosts super dancing queens Mambokadzi and the Millennium Queens while tomorrow, Progress Chipfumo and his Sounds of the Motherland are scheduled to rock patrons at the same joint.

Isaac Tazvida and Takesure Muronzi will, for the first time, perform at Nice Time Night Club in Mvuma tonight before travelling 100km to the Ritz Night Club in Masvingo.

On Sunday the two join Mashakada at Highway Night Club at Nyika Growth Point and on Monday the trio play at Chademana Beerhall in Jerera.

They will finish off the tour with a performance at Big Wave kwaGutu at Mupandawana Growth Point.

Township jazz lovers should brace for a treat as Tanga Wekwa Sando is set to strum his box guitar at Mushandirapamwe Hotel tonight.

Dancehall music lovers are in for a treat at Club Asylum as Stereo One clashes with Silverstone tomorrow to kick off Heroes Day commemorations.

Dance hall great Jah B will play alongside Slingshot, Judge Tina and Madd Malvern while Jackie B will play alongside Daddy Distress.

Sports Diner, tonight, hosts the Indoor Beach Party in which beachwear is mandatory.
