Bujumbura — Five persons died in a grenade blast at Burambana in the commune of Muramvya of Muramya province yesterday on August 9th, 2007
The victims include a lady and her three children.. Another child was seriously wounded and is being treated at the hospital of Muramvya." A man who was at the crime scene was quoted by Burundi Réalités Agence Presse as saying. The perpetrator was also killed in blast.
In the same framework of violence, a lady was killed by man at Nyanza-Lac yesterday. The circumstances behind her death are still unclear.
This escalation of violence comes at a time when Burundi is facing one of the most grievous kind of institutional crisis. It also unveils the failure of the disarmament of civilians
