Nigeria: Kuta Pledges to Assist in Dam Development

Lagos — Hon. Bala Kuta of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) has said he would liaise with his colleagues at the National Assembly to assist the Kagara Dam project to solve its perennial water shortage.

Kuta, House of Representatives member representing Rafi, Munya and Shiroro Federal Constituency, yesterday in Kagara, Niger State, made the promise at the opening of a nine-day free eye treatment in his constituency.

He donated N100,000 to assist the Salihu Tanko Junior Secondary School project under construction through communal efforts.

He also donated free text books to each of the senior secondary school students in his constituency. The Director Marketing of Vision Associates, Mr Obasi Ifeanyi, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) there were many people with eye problems in the area.
