Lagos — Super Eagles manager, Berti Vogts has certified the Warri Township Stadium good enough for the African Nations Cup qualifier against Lesotho next month.
While in Warri, Vogts visited the Chevron and Shell training pitches as well as the Chevron and Shell clinics. He also visited designated hotels and provisionally approved the PK Guest House for the Super Eagles.
"Berti was happy with what he saw," said Vogts technical assistant, Emeka Ezeala.
"As far as he is concerned, this is much better than Abeokuta. He said the pitch is very good and the hotels are better than the ones he saw in Abeokuta."
Meanwhile officials of the Delta State Football Association have dismissed security fears raised in certain quarters. They argued that Warri is safe for the game and the fans there are of good behavior.
