Eritrea: Donations Continue Towards Augmenting Martyrs' Trust Fund

Eritreans residing inside the country and abroad donated more than 120,000 Nakfa, 6,500 Euros and USD 1,000 towards augmenting the Martyrs' Trust Fund and rehabilitating war-disabled patriots, as well as developing Mendefera Hospital.

According to the Eritrean Embassy in Italy, members of the Medhina'alem Association in Rome contributed 2,000 Euros to support martyrs' children, while the Eritrean Community in Katanga city donated 4,500 Euros for rehabilitating war-disabled citizens. The inhabitants of Afabet sub-zone also donated 56,000 Nakfa towards assisting families of fallen heroes, and Eritrean members of Charlotte Community in North Carolina, USA, donated USD 1,000 for the same cause.

Likewise, Eritrean women residing in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and members of the 46 mechanized forces contributed 13,000 Nakfa and 47,000 Nakfa respectively to augment the Martyrs' Trust Fund. In a related report, Eritrean women living in London contributed over 60,000 Nakfa collected from various activities to Mendefera Hospital.
