Gaspard Sindayigaya has been appointed by president Nkurunziza as the new governor of the central bank, BRB.

Mr. Sindayigaya comes to replace Isaac Bizimana who is currently incarcerated in MPIMBA,Burundi central prison for allegedly embezzling state funds.

Mr. Sindayigaya has previous related experience as he has worked for various Burundi banking institutions prior to his appointment.
