Assab — The Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Arefaine Berhe, gave in-depth briefings on development, administration, natural resources and developing management skills regarding agricultural projects on August 10 in Assab that would reinforce agricultural development programs set for the coming 3 years.
Heads in the Ministry, Administrators of the sub-zones, branch heads of ministries, members of the Southern Red Sea regional Administration attended the briefing.
The Minister underlined that farmers should make use of modern agriculture techniques so as to boost production geared for export purposes. He added that the Government is exerting efforts to lay a conducive ground for farmers to have better access to market.
Also speaking on the occasion, the Administrator of the Southern Red region, Ms. Tsegereda Woldegergish, stressed the need for education that would raise the knowledge and capacity of farmers and increase the supply of fish as a main source of food.
