Nigeria: Super Weekend for Eagles, Eaglets

20 August 2007

Lagos — A very busy mid-week it will be for Nigeria football, but the Nigeria Football Association has assured that it is ready with all arrangements ahead of the matches.

"Everything is being done to see that the national senior team, Super Eagles win their international friendly against Macedonia in Skopje, the U-23 male team triumphs against South Africa in Rustenburg and the U-17 male team secures the victory it needs against Japan to reach the FIFA World Cup Round of 16.

"We know we must win all the matches. All hands are on deck to achieve this. I will personally be in Skopje to ginger the Super Eagles. Macedonia cannot beat us at any level of football. The Olympic team has been motivated to perform well in South Africa and the Golden Eaglets are on course to beat Japan and reach the last 16 at the World Cup in South Korea . We are monitoring all three centers keenly", said Ojo-Oba.
