Lagos — Players and officials of 2007 Coca-Cola FA Cup champions Dolphins FC of Port Harcourt are to be hosted at a reception in the Garden City tomorrow where Rivers State Governor Sir Celestine Omehia is going to reward them handsomely for making the state proud.

THISDAYSports learnt last night that Dolphins, who Sunday evening at the U.J Esuene Stadium in Calabar defeated Egyptian side Ismaili 2-0 in the Confederation Cup to move to the top of the group with seven points, have already returned to Port Harcourt in anticipation of the largesse from the 'Brick House'.

Although our source could not confirm the exact reward for the victorious Dolphins players who defeated Rangers 4-2 aggregate to lift the Coca-Cola FA Cup at the Teslim Balogun Stadium penultimate Sunday, it was widely speculated last night that Gov. Omehia may tow his predecessor's path by giving out cars to the winners.

"I can't confirm to you what the Governor is likely going to reward the players with but one thing certain is that everybody both players and officials will smile for doing Rivers States proud on Wednesday," hinted our reliable Port Harcourt source.

In 2004 when Dolphin defeated the same Rangers to give the State it's first ever FA Cup trophy, then Governor Peter Odili gave out cars as reward to the players and officials.

It is not unlikely that similar reward is also in the offing at tomorrow's reception in Port Harcourt.
