Liberia: To Reduce Poverty - Ellen Must Weed Out Employers From Government, Says Joseph Conomia

A former Bong County lawmaker, Joseph Conomia has attributed the high rate of poverty and unemployment rate in the country to what he calls the number of "employers and investors" who he said have taken government jobs and turned to employees.

In an exclusive interview over the weekend, Mr. Conomia said many of the Cabinet Ministers in government are all employers because he said they have the capacity and finance to go into the private sector and open companies or factors that will employ thousands of jobless Liberians.
