Angola: Talks On Gender This Month in Cacuaco, Cazenga Districts

Luanda — Talks about civic education relating to gender are taking place throughout the month of August at Luanda's Cazenga and Cacuaco districts, promoted by the Angolan non-governmental organisation League of Sports, Culture and Environment (Lideca), ANGOP has learnt.

A press note delivered to ANGOP states that the talks will have as venues schools and markets, being that the lecturers are 50 youths living in the mentioned localities.

The three-month programme aims at transmitting knowledge on rights and obligations in gender relations, citizenship main principles, Angolan Constitutional Law, as well as encourage an active participation of women in the country's public affairs.

Lideca is an organisation of social solidarity and promotion of development of social mobilisation of partnerships for the socialisation of children, women and young people in situation of personal and social risk, as well as supports families through the practice of citizenship.
