Asmara — The Secretary of the PFDJ, Mr. Al-Amin Mohammed Seid, today held talks with a delegation from the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party headed by the Deputy Head of the Department of the CCP's Teaching-Learning School.
In the meeting, the PFDJ Secretary noted that the Eritrean people beginning in the days of the armed struggle are acquainted with the three historic phases of China. He further indicated that relations between Eritrean and the PRC in different domains continues to gain momentum. Mr. Al-Amin also informed the delegation that there exists strong relations between the PFDJ and the CCP for mutual benefit, and that the People's Front is ready to work jointly in the future.
The head of the Chinese delegation, Prof. Sije Chun Tao, on his part expressed satisfaction with being able to witness the Eritrean people's history from close quarters, and asserted that the Chinese side is ready to enhance bilateral cooperation in different fields in the future.
In the course of its week-long visit, the CCP delegation visited the Eritrean Technology Institute, Mai-Nefhi and Toker micro-dams, Asmara Textiles Factory, Asmara Tannery, Medeber, Free Economic Zone, Massawa International Airport and Nacfa Social Sciences School, as well as the historic Nacfa trenches and other institutions.
Moreover, the delegation held discussions with heads of the Ministry of Information, National Union of Eritrean Women and National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students, in addition to meeting with community elders in Nacfa.
During the visit to Nacfa Social Sciences School, the CCP delegation gave lectures to the 6th round cadre graduates of the School regarding the Chinese people's liberation struggle, the strategy they employed to meet challenges, the reforms introduced in the country, the PRC's economic transformation programs, and other developments.
