Washington DC — Eritrea Festival 2007in San Jose, California, that took place from August 17 to 19 concluded with patriotic zeal. Different shows, cultural dances and sports activities as well as bazaars were highlighted in the Festival.
In the seminars he conducted, the Minister of Health, Mr. Saleh Meki, indicated that the people and Government of Eritrea are exerting vigorous efforts to ensure food security on the basis of self-reliance, promote equitable social services in remote areas, and establish new agro-industry plants. He further stated that Eritreans in the Diaspora are major players in the on-going economic development programs.
Moreover, the Minister called on Eritrean youths who grew up abroad to make optimum use of the available educational opportunities and thereby make due contribution in the nation-building process.
