Sierra Leone: Methodist Church Workers Go On Strike

Freetown — Workers of Methodist Church Sierra Leone (MCSL) in the eastern region this week commenced an indefinite sit-down strike, according to them, until all backlog salaries are paid.

One affected old man, on condition of anonymity, told this reporter that over 50 workers have not been paid for the past nine months starting from November 2006 to August 2007.
