Sierra Leone: Muslims Observe Birth Anniversary of the Prophet's Grandson

Freetown — On August 16, Muslims in Sierra Leone observed the birth anniversary of Imam Hussein, the grandson of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.

In the capital Freetown, activities were organized to mark the event. Mr. Sorie Sesay of the Iranian Cultural Centre told Muslims from all walks of life who converged at the Centre, that Imam Hussein revived Islam after the martyrdom of Imam Ali, one of the caliphates (successor) of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.
