Tunis — Some thirty European participants will take part in the International call center salon dubbed "Expo 2007" which will take place from November 2 to 4, 2007.
The organizers expect more than 100 participants will take part in the event. Over the years Tunisia has increasingly become a hub for call centers.
This event will not only provide an occasion for participants to exchange information but also aims at attracting investors.
The 102 centers, already in activity in the country, cover a wide range of activities including marketing research, television sales, and technical support, are expected to increase to reach 130 in December, thus providing some 12,000 job opportunities to young Tunisians.
Tunisia will then be ranked second in terms of off shore call centers after Morocco which counts 200 centers.
It is worth noting that Tunisia's Ministry of communication technologies has recently launched a study on ways of promoting call centers and attracting foreign investors in this rapidly expanding sector .
