Tunis — An American movie by a Tunisian producer will open the official competition of the Estepona international fantasy and horror film festival on the Costa del Sol in Spain (September3-8, 2007).
"Left for dead", a movie by Albert Pyun and produced by Mohammed Najjar, a Los Angeles resident and the organizer of the Sufetula (Sbeitla) annual Festival in Tunisia , will launch the festival on September 3.
The film which was shot in Buenos Aires , features a number of renowned American and Argentine actors with Tunisian actor, Adnene Helali playing a major part in the movie.
The American filmmaker Albert Puyn received the festival's best award known as the 'golden unicorn' in 2005.
The festival will also pay tribute to the director Stuart Gordon and the actor Christopher Lee for their contribution to the fantasy and horror cinema.
Mohammed Najjar has already announced his intention to shoot his next film in Tunisia with the same film director.
