Luanda — Petro de Luanda are now only one point behind the leaders of the first division football championship, after beating 1º de Agosto (4-3), on Saturday.
1º de Agosto, with 44 points, remain temporarily in the lead, a position they can lose if Interclube win Sunday's match.
Saturday's derby, which took place in Luanda's Coqueiros stadium, was quite exciting and full of goals, with 1º de Agosto's Locô opening the score at the 13th minute of the first half.
Gazeta changed the score to 2-0 in the first minute of the second half, to the dismay of Petro's supporters.
After struggling a lot, Petro Atletico got their act together and managed to draw the game. Féliz Catongo scored at 57 minutes and Manucho at 65.
1º de Agosto's Love Kabungula scored the team's third goal at 78 minutes of the encounter, but Petro's Manucho drew the score again, at 90 minutes.
Just before the end of the match Santana scored the fourth goal for Petro de Luanda and the much enjoyed victory to Petro.
With this victory Petro de Luanda have 43 points.
