The Super Eagles' final group match in the Nations Cup qualifiers against the Crocodile of Lesotho this a weekend in Warri, has been designated 'a send forth for the Eagles' who have already qualified for the championship.

Former Delta state Commissioner for Sports, Solomon Ogba said at the weekend that aside putting everything that will make the match the best organised in the country, a big party is being planned for the Super Eagles as a send forth to the championship holding in Ghana in January.

"We are planning a memorable match in every sense of it. We are particularly delighted that peace has finally returned to Warri. It is about forty years since the senior national team played in Warri last. We want to once again demonstrate our ability in organising international matches' he said.

He further allayed fears of insecurity in the city saying that adequate arrangements have been put in place for security of the players and officials as well as fans that would throng the stadium from all parts of the county.

'From the facilities at he stadium to the least expected item in an international game, all have been provided .The best medical facilities have been arranged with Chevron and Shell clinics in the city and at the Central hospital. There is helicopter ambulance also stationed to for any emergency.

According to Ogba who is the chairman of the organising committee, so far, the committee has secured sponsors for the match, including Access Bank which has made available N50 million.

Ogba disclosed that the State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan has instructed that buses be mobilised to ferry people from all over parts of the state to Warri for the match.

"There will be a big ceremony to send forte the Super Eagles to the Nation Cup in January.

"After the match, the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) will have no choice but to bring matches to Warri, " he assured.
