Uganda: Kipsiro Wins Bronze

2 September 2007

Kampala — ANOTHER late show, another late medal, another redemption act for by 5000m star Moses Kipsiro. The African champion delivered one of his career-best races to finish third and win $20,000 (Shs34.2) at the IAAF World Championships in Osaka, Japan yesterday. It is Uganda's first ever World Championship bronze medal but third overall. Davis Kamoga won a 400m bronze in 1997 while Dorcus Inzikuru clinched gold in Helsinki in 2005.
