Luanda — A delegation from the Ministry of Former Combatants and War Veterans led by its deputy minister, Lourenço Diogo Contreiras Neto, attends the ninth 19th Conference of the World War Veterans Federation that happens from this Monday to next September 07 in Singapore.

Angop learnt from a press release from the Angolan Embassy in Singapore that besides discussing internal matters of the organisation, the conference will also analyse aspects related with peace, reconciliation and fight against international terrorism, as well as the promotion and reinforcing of interchange and co-operation.

The occasion will also serve to celebrate the 65th anniversary since Singapore was conquered by Japan and the 62nd commemorations of the Second World War.

Besides the Former Combatants deputy minister, the delegation comprises of the President's secretary for former combatants, Ambassador Luís Neto Kiambata, and directors of the legal cabinet and the assistant of the minister's office, José António Chissola and Domingos António Carlos, respectively.
