Asmara — His Holiness Abune Dioskoros, 4th Patriarch of the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo Church, gave a benediction to the entire Eritrean people on the occasion of the Geez New Year (Kudus Yohannes).
The Patriarch conveyed goodwill to the faithful inside the country and abroad, as well as members of the Defense Forces who are actively engaged in the safeguarding of the nation's sovereignty and in national reconstruction endeavors. He further urged nationals to extend a helping hand to the needy.
His Holiness Abune Dioskoros called on citizens to cooperate in collecting the promising harvest registered, thanks to satisfactory rainfall.
