Mogadishu — Armed men have shot and killed an agent from world health organization in Cabud-Waq Township in GalGadud region, central of Somalia.
The victim, Farah Warsme, has been WHO officer for Polio Immunization in Cabud Waq Township, was shot dead, on Tuesday morning by gunmen, as he was closing polio campaign that lasted three days.
According to local residents, the killing of the WHO officer was linked to clan feud in Cabud Waq town.
His body was taken from the spot by his relatives and being prepared for burial.
Most of Cabud Waq Residents have expressed their dismay about the killing of the officer.
During the incident, some WHO health-officers were accompanying the deceased officer.
The late officer has been a representative for the world health organization (WHO) in Cabud Waq for the last for years.
