Ogaden national liberation front, an ethnic Somali rebel group in Ethiopia's Somali state has called on the world to end the destructive military operations underway in the dominant somali state of Ethiopia, saying that the international community has kept silence over the massacres of innocent civilians by Ethiopian troops in Ogaden region.

The rebel group said that tens of thousands of civilians have been uprooted and displaced by the ongoing Ethiopian military operations in the region.

"The civilans are fleeing to neighboring Somalia with them, no food, no medicine" said the group in a statement, it issued.

The group also called on donor countries to put more pressure on the Ethiopian government to end its military operations against the civilians and should let the inetrnational press and the aid agencies to come to the region and work freely there.

ONLF has also called on the United nations to show a particular obligation to the investigation into the allegation of war crimes committed in the region.
