Harare — The Government has handed over Caledonia Farm near Tafara to Harare City Council for housing development.
Over 6 000 residential stands would be developed on the farm, easing the city's housing backlog. Council's acting director of housing and community services Mr James Chiyangwa said the city was inviting companies to apply for land to build houses for their workers. He said people who were evicted from Manresa Farm would also benefit from the project while those currently occupying the farm will be resettled elsewhere.
