Eritrea: Loan And Micro-Credit Scheme in Anseba Region Registering Momentum

Reports indicated that the loan and micro-credit scheme in the Anseba region is making encouraging headway. The program is designed to help improve the standard of living of the citizens in the region. It is to be recalled that similar programs in other parts of the country have helped to upgrade the living standards of nationals who have expressed their appreciation to the Government's efforts to assist them through such loan and micro-credit schemes.
Mr. Tedros Girmay, in charge of the program assigned to the region, pointed out that the beneficiaries have made good use of the loan and micro-credit opportunities.
Seventy three village banks are already operating in the Anseba region, according to reports.
