Nigeria: Alleged Unwholesome Practices By Foreign Investors Worry Labour

Lagos — Organised labour in the nation's construction sector, has called on government to monitor the practices of some foreign investors and businessmen in the country, especially those of Middle East Asian origin, alleging that these group of investors and businessmen are working against the interest of Nigeria and Nigerians.

Under the umbrella of the National Union of Civil Engineering, Construction, Furniture and Wood Workers (NUCECFWW) at its eighth annual industrial relations/education conference, held recently in Ibadan, Oyo State, the union threatened to take on these investors should the government fail to call them to order.
