Liberia: IMO to Establish Search Rescue Center

The International Maritime Organization (IMO) is expected to establish an International Maritime Search and Rescue Center in Monrovia, capital of Liberia, maritime commissioner John Morlu has said.

The decision, according Morlu was in 2000 during a conference in Geneva based on Liberia's "strategic position as the second largest ship registry in the world."
