Luanda — Twelve of the 22 national musicians invited to the seventh edition of the International Music Festival of Sumbe (FestiSumbe) are scheduled to start performing this Friday, as from 09 pm at the Marginal Avenue of coastal Kwanza Sul Province.
Musicians such as Zé Max, Sanguito, Justino Handanga, Matias Damásio, Aiaia, Paulo Flores, Caló Pascoal, Nazarina Semedo, Neide Van-Dúnem, Claudeth Tchizungo, Carlos Burity, Mig, as well as the Kalibrados and União Forever bandss, are expected to sing at the event.
From the foreign acts, the fans will have the opportunity to witness the performance of Guinean Manecas Costa.
The singer/songwriter Paulo Flores alongside with Maravilha Band will back individual artists at Sumbe's Marginal.
The last part of the show is reserved for Kuduro style group Os Lambas, to close the live show at 02am on Saturday, followed by a show of Dj Maló.
FestiSumbe2007 ends on Sunday dawn with performances of other invited artists.
Organised by the provincial government of Kwanza Sul, FestiSumbe is produced by the Angolan "Casa70" shows promoting company, and happens under the anniversary of Sumbe City, Kwanza Sul capital, celebrated on September 16.
