Nairobi — As early as 1964, some scholars and leaders had predicted that globalisation would soon change the world in a big way.

Many developing nations, mainly outside Africa, carried out fundamental strategic changes to remain relevant in the global race. Such countries were quick to let go retrogressive policies.
