Mendefera — Director of WHO for Africa Dr. Luis G. Sambo visited the Referral Hospital of Southern region and Nursing School of Mendefera on 27 September and was briefed by experts of the field.
The Head of the Ministry of Health Southern region branch office, Mr. Tesfalem Ghebrekidan gave detailed information on the general activities of the hospital before and after five years comparing the status of high risk diseases and mortal rate as well as cause of malaria and other activities to the visiting delegation.
Furthermore, briefings was given on the development of health delivery system as part of the government policy to ensure equitability of health services in all regions as well as the different developmental activities underway through the coordinated effort the government and peoples' to ensure food security.
