Luanda — The ombudsperson departments of Angola and of Mali identified Monday, here, the areas for analysis and intensifying the respective legislations and training of staffs for the reinforcement of the cooperation between them.
The delegations, led by Paulo Tjipilica and Fatoumatha Diakité Ndiaye, ombudspersons of Angola and of Mali, respectively, also indicated the areas of setting the legal requirements of process and computerising the services of these institutions for the strengthening of these ties.
At the meeting, the Malian jurist reiterated the need for reinforcing cooperation relations so that these institutions can satisfactorily play their role of defending the rights of the citizens.
She praised the efforts made by Angolan authorities for the consolidation of national unity.
Fascinated with the hospitality she received in Angola, where she arrived last Wednesday, Fatoumatha Ndyae said "thanks to the Head of State, Speaker of the National Assembly, Prime Minister and to the State's Ombudsman".
She invited the Angolan Ombudsperson's Department to participate, as an observer, at the congress of the Association of French-Speaking Ombuds Departments, to be held in Bamako, Mali, from next December 11 to 13.
Founded in 2005, the Ombuds Department of Angola is an independent organ in charge of defending the rights, freedoms and guarantees of citizens, securing through informal means justice and legality of the Public Administration.
