Asmara — The Eritrean cultural troupe Walta, which has been on tour in South Sudan from September 12 to 28, concluded its tour after staging performances at celebrations organized by the South Sudan Minister of Culture and Youths in its honor.
In a speech he delivered on behalf of the First Vice President of the Republic of Sudan and President of South Sudan, Mr. Salva Kiir Miyardit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. Benjamin Barnaba, said that the cultural troupe's tour in South Sudan reflects the close relations between the two countries.
The Eritrean Consul General in Juba, Mr. Alem Negash, on his part expressed appreciation to all parties who made due contribution to the success of the tour, and stressed the positive impact of such cultural exchange in strengthening relations between the two peoples and governments.
Different shows reflecting the traditional dances of the people of South Sudan were staged at the closing of the celebration in which ministers, army commanders, community elders and the genera public took part.
